JEWISH MUSEUM.

The Jewish museum is located in the area of the former jewish ghetto .

It was opened in 1999 thanks of the emilia-romagna instituite of cultural heritage together with the province of bologna municipality and the jewish community with the aim of saving and carryng the rich jewish culture wich was deeply routed in bologna and in the region emilia –romagna

COLLECTION OF MUNICIPAL ART

It is a very rich collection of works of art exhibited
in the museo civico medievale ( ghislardi-fava palace), collezioni comunali d’arte and museo davia-bargellini ( palace of the some name)

NATIONAL ART GALLERY

it is housed in a former monastery and displays the development of the painting schools in bologna from the to xix century
(vitale da bologna, carracci, guido reni e guercino) in the collection there is also a masterpiece of Raffaello and Giotto.

CIVIC ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM

It is run by the Municipality; it is located in Palazzo Galvani ( once called “Hospital of death”) and here the museum was opened in 1881.The chief collections are: Prehistoric section; Greek collection; Greek and Roman sculptures, and gypsoteque Etruscan and Villanovian collection; Roman collection; Egyptian collection, one of the largest in Europe.
